ZEUSS is hosting at the 11th ISINA symposium (March 18-19, 2026 at Chemnitz University of Technology) a proposal workshop for female PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in STEM fields who have little to no experience with EU research funding. The workshop takes place on March 19, 2026, from 13-16:00 and is conducted by Dr. Gretel Wittenburg.
The participants will receive practical insights into EU funding schemes of Horizon Europe (e.g. ERC and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions), including practical advice on proposal structuring and evaluation criteria. The workshop will be carried out in English with a strong focus on group work. Individual consultations with Dr. Wittenburg will be available after the workshop.
Dr. Wittenburg is an EU funding advisor and Deputy Head of ZEUSS – EU Service Saxony. She supports researchers and institutions in securing European research and innovation funding, with a strong focus on Horizon Europe. She holds a PhD in translational life sciences with a background in biomedicine and human biology. Dr. Wittenburg combines scientific expertise with long-standing experience in EU research funding and international collaboration. More info on Dr. Wittenburg and ZEUSS: https://zeuss-saxony.de/en/
