The European Institute on Innovation & Technology (EIT) is fostering through its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) European networks which address a wide range of societal challenges.
KICs operate quite autonomously in terms of structure and administration. Their members can derive from “higher education, research, and innovation”. The 3-from-3 rule, which states that a consortium must consist of three partner organizations, which must be based in different EU member states or to Horizon Europe-associated countries, applies.
The following 10 KICs have been established so far:
- InnoEnergy
- Climate KIC
- 28Digital
- EIT Health
- EIT RawMaterials
- EIT Food
- EIT Urban Mobility
- EIT Manufacturing
- EIT Culture & Creativity
- EIT Water
Numerous calls are still open for application. We highly recommend the following EIT Urban Mobility call and are happy to support you throughout all stages of the application process:
- Urban Mobility Explained (UMX) | maximum grant per proposal: €700 000 | Deadline: September 29, 2026
