The first draft of the updated WIDERA Work Programme for 2026–2027 is now available via the Comitology Register.
The main structure remains unchanged. As the EU Office of the BMFTR has announced, major changes are expected for the following two topics:
- HORIZON-WIDERA-2027-05-ERA-02: Talent ecosystems for attractive early research careers
- HORIZON-WIDERA-2027-02-WIDENING-01: ERA Chairs
The project budgets for „HORIZON-WIDERA-2027-05-ERA-02: Talent ecosystems for attractive early research careers“ are expected to be reduced to € 2 M, and applicants might be able to choose between five different subjects.
Applications for „HORIZON-WIDERA-2027-02-WIDENING-01: ERA Chairs“ from countries, which have not been listed in the country ranking so far, should be prioritized in cases where equal scores occur.
