Looking Back at Our AI Information Session at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences Dies Academicus | November 4, 2026

Yesterday ZEUSS held for the first time an info session regarding the usage of AI for Horizon Europe proposals as part of the Dies Academicus of the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences.

Our EU funding advisors Ekaterina Schacht and Alexander Hesse presented key information regarding the European Commission’s official AI guidelines, highlighted the possibilities and limitations of AI usage in the context of Horizon Europe proposal writing, and provided information on AI tools which ZEUSS and the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi) use for proposal advisory purposes.

We were also present with an information stand in the foyer of Mittweida University of Applied Sciences to inform visitors of the Dies Academicus about ZEUSS’s advisory and support services related to Horizon Europe.

We would like to thank all participants for attending and for the fruitful discussion. We hope we were able to answer many questions regarding the use of AI for Horizon Europe proposals.

We would also like to thank Katrin Fritzsche and the entire Dies Academicus organizing team for letting us hold the AI information session at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, as well as for their support both in the lead-up to the event and on-site.
