ZEUSS unites interdisciplinary perspectives, European expertise, and the will to strengthen the research and innovation region Saxony. Our team provides expert advice on the EU research and innovation programme, Horizon Europe, and supports you in successfully implementing your project proposal.
Carsten Glück (Backgound: European Public Administration), as head, is responsible for the strategic and operational management of ZEUSS. Coordination of consultancy, regional and cross-regional networking of the EU service organization are key aspects of his role.
The EU Liaison Officers, Dr. Gretel Wittenburg (Background: Biomedicine and Human Biology), Alexander Hesse (Background: Transport Engineering, Spatial Development and Natural Resources Management) and Dr. Tamara Kolbe (Background: Water Management and Hydrogeology), are skilled experts in the field of EU research funding and complement each other perfectly with their diverse academic backgrounds.
Christopher Steinwachs (Background: Politics and Constitution) is responsible for editorial content, research and analysis, administrative processes, and event management.
Services
ZEUSS provides assistance with all questions regarding Horizon Europe (HEU), the 9th Framework funding program for Research and Technological Development of the European Union. We offer the following advisory and support services to help you realize your HEU project proposal:
- Information on grant opportunities in Horizon Europe
- Individual consulting on site and evaluation of project concepts
- Assistance with the selection of appropriate funding instruments and calls
- Consulting focused on the strategic goals of the EU
- Support during the specific development of proposals
- Takeover of the work packages: Project management, Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation
- Interview training for funding programmes of the European Research Council (ERC), e.g. Starting Grants (StG) and Consolidator Grants (CoG)
- Support with grant agreements, management and administration of successfully acquired projects
- Support during the resubmission (reviewing) of the Evaluation Summary Report
The service is provided on demand: as broad and intensive as requested and needed.
ZEUSS also assists you in finding academic research partners and other interested entities in Saxony, as well as presenting your project ideas at internal and external events.
Corresponding fees can be charged for specific support and advice services.
