The new EU partnership “BE READY” aims to identify epidemics and pandemics at an early stage so that appropriate action can be taken. The EU partnership, with a budget of €120 million, is expected to provide substantial support for research into emerging and recurring pathogens, as well as to advance the development of diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines in this context.
“BE READY” involves 81 organizations from 27 countries, including Germany. The French research agency ANRS-MIE coordinates the research activities of the international partnership. DLR Project Management Agency, acting on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), performs key tasks within the new partnership.
The BE READY program is designed to promote transnational projects in which at least three and up to six (or, in exceptional cases, seven) organizations from different partner countries can participate. Organizations based in Saxony are also eligible to apply for BE READY calls.
Feel free to contact ZEUSS for tailored support in developing a competitive BE READY proposal. We provide on-demand support to researchers from Saxony – from the initial idea all the way through to submission. Learn more here: https://zeuss-saxony.de/ueber-uns/#leistungen
