One World, One Health | April 15, 2026

DLR Projektträger is hosting an event on April 15, 2026 featuring discussions with high-level experts from research and politics on the One Health approach.

The One Health approach is based on the belief that the health of humans, animals, and the environment is intertwined. Therefore, disciplines like human and veterinary medicine, environmental sciences, and agriculture should synergetically collaborate to overcome challenges such as the fight against zoonotic diseases.

Attendance at the event in person in Berlin is by invitation only. But the talks given by the following experts can be viewed via livestream:

  • Katharina Schaufler | Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH)
  • Ulrike Bußhoff | International healthresearch, DLR Projektträger
  • Christian Drosten | Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin
  • Henning Gädeke | Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space
  • Sigrid Weiland | European Commission
  • Simone Sommer | University of Ulm
