But what is a COST Action? It can be described as a bottom-up research network that enables researchers and innovators to work on a freely chosen topic for 4 years. Researchers, SMEs, public institutions and other relevant stakeholders typically engage in a COST Action to create an open space for innovative research.
These networks are coordinated by the COST Association – European Cooperation in Science and Technology, which recieves EU funding from Horizon Europe.
It’s important to note that COST funds cover the expenses for networking activities rather than research related costs.
