The use of AI is undoubtedly revolutionizing the development and production of new materials
Therefore the European Commission and the OECD – OCDE are jointly hosting an online workshop on “The Future of Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on Materials Science” on December 16.
The workshop targets the following issues surrounding AI and material science:
- Possible advancements over the next 5-10 years
- Types of technical progress
- Supportive policy conditions
- Opportunities for international cooperation
The workshop is aimed at scientists who are interested in materials science funding in the context of the 10th EU Framework Program (FP10).
The European Commission will use the workshop to paint a bigger picture concerning investments in AI-driven “moonshots” for the development of advanced materials.
